Painter, Illustrator
Art has consistently provided me with focus and calm, especially during my early years. Encouraged by my mother, I pursued an art degree in college, which proved to be a pivotal decision. Over the past 30 years, I have contributed artwork to silent auctions at the Adaptive Spirit event in Vail, supporting the US Adaptive Ski Team. I was a member of both the US Adaptive Ski Team and the Paralympic Alpine Ski Team from 1992 to 2002. Currently, I serve as a ski analyst for NBC’s Paralympic Games coverage, including events in Vancouver, Sochi, and the upcoming games in Cortina. I am also passionate about the historical connection between art and the Olympic Games and hope to see its return in the future. I have also had the opportunity to work with Art of the Olympians and the Al Oerter Foundation where Olympians and Paralympic artist work with students to encourage participation in sports and art from all corners of the world. Currently, I am working with schools from Brooklyn, NY where the students are producing art and entered into a contest culminating in a celebration at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens at the end of March 2026. My friend and fellow VVAG artist, Jill Hughes introduced me to the VVAG and it has been a wonderful experience, thanks Jill!
