Abstracts with artist Katherine Smith Warren

Katherine will share her techniques for creating her abstract works.  She says "I was first inspired  to paint tree branches as I saw how the shapes connected to how the human body moves.  By looking closely at a leaf we can see that the tiny veins connect to the life force that created it. Lately I have been recycling elements from past art works.  I cut up paintings and stitch them to canvas to create new images that connect to my history.  After several years of using photo transfers to collage images I am working with silkscreened images on different material that I add to my work."
