Community

With a goal of working within the Eagle County community to highlight local visual arts and artists, we sponsor the “Vail Valley Fine Arts Show” with Colorado Mountain College, a juried show of more than 40 local artists with an opening “Art and Jazz” event each fall.  Each summer we present the “Summer Art Institute,” with workshops by Colorado and nationally known artists.

We hold events for children and families and provide opportunities for artists to gather together to paint and photograph in our incredible mountain environment.  We have started a summer Kids’ Ceramics Camp at Colorado Mountain College, art classes for seniors at Castle Peak Senior Care and partner with the Eagle County Library District to provide an opportunity for high school students to exhibit their work towards the end of the school year. We partnered with Eagle County School District to identify Gifted and Talented Art students to whom we give free membership and an annual show of their works.  Our artists have donated works to sell to raise funds for charitable causes in our community including the families of avalanche victims, the Food Pantry and Battle Mountain H.S. art students.
