Cliff Austin Workshop: Landscapes in Oil or Pastel

Cliff Austin is a graduate of Denver Institute of Technology and the Rocky Mountain School of Art, and has been painting and illustrating since 1980 when he graduated from RMSA. He is affiliated with many Colorado art organizations including the Pastel Society of Colorado, the Plein Air Artists Colorado, the Oil Painters of America and the American Impressionists Society. The core of Cliff’s art is the relationships of light on shape using line and tone and color as it wraps and flows around the landscape and cityscape. Cliff has won many awards in Pastel and Oil in national and local art shows and is an award winning Colorado artist.  Cliff states "The subject is light and contrast. The fascination is in the way light pours, splashes, and wraps around everything we see and contrasts the everyday with the extraordinary."

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis so reserve your space as soon as possible.  Payment may be made by credit card or PayPal during Event checkout, or you can send a check (write the name of the workshop on the memo line) to: VVAG, P.O. Box 9733, Avon, CO 81620 after you register (choose pay Cash at checkout).

Materials List: bring oil and pastel palette that you are accustomed to using; portable easel; 12"x16" to 16"x20" size canvases; Odorless Turpentine or Gamsol (Please avoid strong smelling mediums).
