IMAGE SUBMISSION DEADLINE: CMC Art & Jazz Show

Members have three deadlines to participate in the show:

1. IMAGE SUBMISSION: Applicants may submit a high resolution jpg image of up to five entries by Monday, September 2, 2024 to be

included in the printed catalog. Images that are submitted after this date may not be in the catalog. Rename your digital images in this format: Lastname_Firstname_ title of work.jpg.

2. FORM SUBMISSION: Complete the APPLICATION FORM on your computer using Adobe Acrobat Reader, save it and email it, along with the IMDEMNIFICATIOIN FORM, and all HIGH RES IMAGES images, to: Rick Spitzer <vvagcmc@gmail.com> by Friday, September 6, 2024.

3. DROP OFF DATE: Works are due at CMC on Friday, September 13 between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm and Saturday, September 14, between 9:00 am and noon. 

Vail Valley Art Guild members and current CMC Edwards campus students and instructors are eligible to

participate in the 2024, 11th Annual Fine Arts Show. The Art and Jazz exhibit and reception will occur on Friday,

September 20, and it is sponsored by VVAG and CMC. 

This will be a juried show. First place ribbons will be given separately to painting and photography in the following

categories: Abstract (A), Figure/Portrait (F/P), Landscape (L), Still Life (S), and Wild Life/Animals (W/A).

A first place ribbon will also be awarded to 3D (3D) Sculpture, Ceramics Functional, Ceramic Sculptural, and

Fiber Arts(FA). 

There will also be a Best In Show, Jurors’ Choice, as well as Honorable Mention ribbons.

A maximum of five works will be accepted. Submitted works may not have been in the CMC Art Show in the past.

Works are due at CMC on Friday, September 13 between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm and Saturday, September

14, between 9:00 am and noon.  

All participants must pay $10 per entry via Cash, Check, or Charge when works

are delivered. 

They must also sign the insurance and indemnification waiver (URL at the bottom of this

form ) or when submitting their work. 

Participants must agree not to remove entries before the close of the show.

Works must have a wire hanging system. Metal prints must have an acceptable hanging point. Other hanging

systems will not be accepted. 

Metal prints and wrapped canvas art do not need to be framed. 

Large or multi-piece artworks must be approved in advanced. Please contact Chris Sena at cgsena5@gmail.com for pre-approval.

Leave the Price blank for "Not for Sale."

By completing the forms

 and delivering the works to CMC, you acknowledge that CMC and the VVAG are not

liable for any damage to the art and that your entry will remain for the duration of the show. Complete

the indemnification form included with this email.
