**Morning Sessions: Foundations First**

Start your day with the essentials: 

• Choosing the right photo and orientation to best convey your message.  
• Delve into the essentials of color theory to bring vibrancy and emotional depth to your work.
• Master the art of cropping reference photos to enhance composition and discover techniques for transferring your chosen image onto paper or canvas.

**Afternoon Sessions: Bring Your Vision to Life**

With the basics under your belt, it’s time to paint! 

• Apply your morning's learning to create a beautiful piece of art from your photo. 
• Guided by experienced artists, you’ll explore techniques that bring out the best in your images, ensuring each brush stroke adds to a captivating visual narrative.

This workshop not only teaches you the technical skills to work from photographs but also encourages you to see the world through an artistic lens, enhancing your creative journey. About Jami

Jami Nix Rahn is a multidisciplinary artist based in Edwards, Colorado. Her artworks blend traditional techniques with contemporary themes, connecting her lived experience with an intuitive process.  She studied stone carving and bronze casting in Europe before returning to the U.S. to pursue portraiture in oil and pastels under the tutelage of  Master artist Daniel E. Greene, PSA, NA, AWS. She further honed her skills at the Art Students League in Manhattan. She received her BFA in painting at Florida Atlantic University. Jami's works have been included in museum and gallery exhibitions across the U.S. and internationally and in public and private collections worldwide. Over the years, Jami has enjoyed sharing her knowledge through teaching students and learning from them as they learn from her.
