Leadership Team The Vail Valley Art Guild leadership team is responsible for providing overall leadership, direction, and governance for the Guild. We are elected annually and we meet once a month to make decisions that impact our mission, goals, and operations. Galleries We have three locations that host ongoing exhibits in Avon, Beaver Creek and Eagle. Our galleries provide opportunities for members and community by hosting exhibitions, classes & workshops. Our "brick and motar" galleries help build awareness of the artistic talent in Eagle County. Why should you visit one of our galleries? 1. Exposure to diverse and high-quality art made by local artists : Our art galleries feature a wide range of artwork from both established and emerging artists. This provides our members and community with the opportunity to experience and appreciate different styles, mediums, and perspectives. 2. Educational opportunities : Our galleries often host artist talks, workshops, and other educational events that allow members and the community to learn about the art and the creative process. This can be especially beneficial for students and aspiring artists. 3. Cultural enrichment : Art galleries contribute to the cultural fabric of a community by showcasing local to our diverse population including guests from all over the world. This exposure to different cultures and perspectives can broaden one's understanding and appreciation of the world. The group is comprised of Diego Espinosa (guitar), Santiago Doglione (drums and cajon), Augusto Doglione (base guitar), Brent Gordon (sax), Jill Goodman (vocalist and composer) and Jessica Pinto. Catering Pollyanna Productions curated by Pollyanna Forster, former owner of Eat! Drink! in Edwards. 10th Annual Vail Valley Fine Art Show 2023 Award Winners Featured 62 local artists, photographers, ceramicists and sculptors from the Vail Valley Art Guild and CMC students and instructors. This is truly a beautiful exhibit, with many works for sale. The evening featured free appetizers provided by Mukund Gopalakrishnan, beer and wine (white wine generously donated by Riverwalk Wine & Spirits). Workshop Policies and Info Art Guild at Avon Payments All payments are due upon registration through our website . We accept credit cards, PayPal, and Checks. If you are paying by check, we must receive your check within one week of registration. Please mark your check with the workshop name, instructor, and dates. Mail checks to: P.O. Box 9733 • Avon, CO 81620 Workshop Maximum and Minimum Attendees Each workshop is evaluated for the safety and comfort of instructors and attendees. The maximum and minimum attendance is determined by the amount of space each attendee will need and the number of attendees needed to afford instructor fees. Wait Lists If the class is full, please register for the waitlist. Due to possible attendee cancellations, being on the waitlist gives you a good chance of getting into your desired class. Please save the dates and be ready for a call, text, or email from our workshop administrator. Member/Non-Member Pricing We have done what we can to keep workshops at a reasonable price, while offering discounts to our members. Non-members can become members in advance of registration to receive discounts. Become a member today! Cancellation Policy Cancellation by Attendee Refunds for cancellations by attendees within 30 days of the workshop start date are contingent on VVAG finding a replacement from our wait list. Cancellation by VVAG If a class does not meet the minimum enrollment, VVAG may cancel it. All attendees will be refunded the full amount of their payment. Materials List Materials Lists are at the discretion of each workshop instructor. If you are unable to gather the required materials, please contact our workshop administrator with questions. Workshop Hours Workshops start at 9:30 AM and end at 4 PM unless otherwise stated. Late arrivals disrupt fellow artists! Please arrive at least 20 minutes early to set up your workspace. There will be a lunch break as directed by the instructor. We are in The Seasons Building on the first floor, unit C2. Enter the lobby, walk past the fireplace and turn left at the only hallway. We are located on the right. If parking is not available, the Town of Avon has free spaces for you to explore, including free parking! The Town of Avon has strict parking rules. Please check their website for all-day free parking and paid parking rules. Failure to register may result in aparking fine. Safety and Wellness The safety and health of our attendees and instructors is our most important consideration. Each workshop is reviewed with instructors and the VVAG leadership. Please alert your instructor or our workshop administrator at any time if you have a safety concern. Here are a few tips you may want to follow to keep yourself safe. · Wear gloves, masks, and glasses or a face shield · Wear aprons, clothes, and shoes · Wear sensible clothes that cover as much of the body as possible · Don't touch your eyes or mouth with your hands or gloves · Wash your hands and keep your workspace tidy Community Guidelines All Workshop participants shall abide by these guidelines. Failure to do so may result in your dismissal from the event. 1. Be kind and courteous 2. Treat everyone with respect 3. Conduct healthy debates with kindness 4. Never engage in hate speech or bullying 5. Never make degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity 6. Do not share spam 7. Respect everyone's privacy and dignity 8. Do not share content and photos that violate someone else’s intellectual property rights, including copyright and trademark 9. Share only photos and videos they've taken or have the right to share 10. Post photos and videos that are appropriate for a diverse audience 11.
