In this *Urban Decay* piece, heavy plaster, deep blues, and green-gold mimic weathered masonry and coastal flora reclaiming Charleston’s forgotten alleys. Applied with trowels and palette knives, layers of cheesecloth, red, and metallics evoke traces of old murals and human history. Oxidized iron rusts alongside gold leaf and resin drips, contrasting industrial decay with nature’s persistence. The work reflects how human lives and architectural spaces are worn and damaged, yet persistently adapt, finding ways to regenerate, thrive, and offer refuge amidst ruin.
