FREE! Minturn Market Opportunity for Members
What a fabulous opportunity for members to take your art to the next level! All members are invited to show and sell their works in our tent at the Minturn Market the next four Saturdays (Aug 6, 13, 20, 27) absolutely free! The Market runs from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. If you are interested, please contact Melissa Nelson nonprofitplan@gmail.com for more info regarding booth location, set up and load out times, etc. - and to sign up.
If you'd like to participate, but are nervous about being in a show, we can team you up with one of our experienced members to provide advice, coaching, and positive energy.

Artist Workshops
We've had an amazing summer of workshops and it's not over yet! Don Sahli's August 29-31 is sold out. However, you never know if someone needs to back out at the last minute. Click here, scroll to bottom, and sign up for the Wait List. Other instructors would like to come back this fall and winter so stay tuned.
Photographer Member Meeting
Our next Photography Group meeting is planned for Thursday, August 25, at 5:50 pm at CMC. Keep an eye out for an email from Rick Spitzer to the VVAG Photo Group email list. If you would like to be included on the list please contact Rick spitzerr@comcast.net
Monthly Member Meeting: Redcliff
Redcliff and Plein Air Day! Monday, August 15, 9am-5pm. We have an amazing free day of activities for our members starting with plein air painting then touring Helen Hiebert's paper making studio and Bob Will's sculpture studio. Painters, bring your gear and lunch and meet at the Minturn Ranger Station just off I-70 at 9:00 am to carpool. If you're just studio touring, meet at the Ranger Station at 3:00 to carpool. And maybe we'll head for cocktails or dinner afterwards at Mango's in Redcliff or Rocky Taco in Minturn. Details here.
Exhibits (free for the public)
Vail Library: Raj Manickman's Wonder in the Woods show. Opening reception: Thursday Aug 4, 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm (don't show up before then, we need some time to set up!). Second Friday
Please join us on Friday August 12 from 5-8pm for our Second Friday exhibit at our Eagle gallery. This month's theme is "Out West". We will be showing member works that express their interpretation of the theme. Photography, abstracts, landscape paintings, and more! Complimentary beverages and individual snacks available. This is part of the Eagle Arts ARTwalk event.

Active members will receive an email with all of the details.
We are excited to put the finishing touches on our flagship event, the CMC/VVAG Vail Valley Fine Arts Show, slated for this October. We anticipate our first Call for Submissions will be later this month. Members can submit up to five works which will be included in our printed and online show catalogs.
