- Soodi Kick | Vail Valley Art Guild
Soodi Kick Painter, Mixed-Media Love of nature, gratitude for life and passion for creating arts. I started painting when I realized my ability to communicate with others, was a lot more sincere through artwork. I could draw from an unconscious space touching the creative side of me that was much more collective and coherent than my verbal communication. My head could be confused and crowded with thoughts but my creativity was simple, clear, and kind. So naturally it was for me to choose to be an artist. - Christine Sena | Vail Valley Art Guild
Christine Sena Secretary At an early age, Christine was encouraged by her mother, an artist, to take classes at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. With studies in Landscape Architecture from UMass Amherst and Virginia Tech, her artistic skills were employed when creating sketches and renderings for various design projects. She then moved on to environmental work and eventually ended up as a manager for national and international judicial programs. After 32 years working in the public sector, she retired in 2002 and relocated to Edwards, CO, to be closer to her daughter and her family. The Guild has given her the opportunity to coordinate with our public libraries, private venues and Colorado Mountain College to develop exhibits which display our members' work to their best advantage.

We moved to Raleigh several years ago and I have visited Art Space and have fallen in love with the concept and energy in the space given to artist. - Mike Crabtree | Vail Valley Art Guild
Mike Crabtree Photographer About Mike Crabtree A turn of the century era cabin complex just east of Eagle, Colorado that apparently used to be a stagecoach stop on Highway 6 is the home and base of operations for photographer Mike Crabtree. The main cabin, right on the Eagle River, serves as home for Mike who is currently now an empty nester. Another structure serves as a frame shop. The other cabin serves as his Gallery and office with about a hundred photographs on display. He prints most of his own photos on Epson inkjet printers using archival papers and inks. Mike Crabtree acquired the property in 1993 and saw the potential for what is now his dream come true. He also had a great time as a mentor for American Photo and Popular Photography magazine till they switched to only Nikon shooters. All Canon shooters were dropped as mentors. Mike Crabtree started shooting photos back in the late sixties while in the Navy. A neighbor in the Chicago area gave him a Baby Brownie, a little box camera that was indestructible, and that started his love of photography. He’s pretty much self taught along with help from respected photographer friends and artists that gave him honest critiques and pushed him to hone his craft. Mike is currently shooting with Canon digital cameras and is quite proficient in Photoshop to correct and sometimes enhance his work. Lots of backpacking in the Colorado Mountains and travels elsewhere have been an enjoyable way for him to make photography an ongoing adventure. If you have time to visit his gallery, give Mike a call at 970-390-9500 for directions and or fill out this form and make an appointment . - Terry Siverly | Vail Valley Art Guild
Terry Siverly Glass-Artist My name is Jona Siverly, and I embarked on my artistic journey in 2020. Initially, I concentrated on using the copper foil and solder technique to craft intricate 3-D sculptures, such as jewelry trees and flower boxes. I also created unique glass cups from recycled bottles. As I broadened my skill set, I delved into resin art and mosaic designs, using guitars, surfboards, snowboards, and skis as my canvases as well as creating resin encased glass fish. I have recently begun lamp-working glass and am excited to explore its possibilities as well as the myriad other ways to work glass. Sarah Will Painter, Illustrator Art has consistently provided me with focus and calm, especially during my early years. Encouraged by my mother, I pursued an art degree in college, which proved to be a pivotal decision. I was a member of both the US Adaptive Ski Team and the Paralympic Alpine Ski Team from 1992 to 2002. Currently, I serve as a ski analyst for NBC’s Paralympic Games coverage, including events in Vancouver, Sochi, and the upcoming games in Cortina. I am also passionate about the historical connection between art and the Olympic Games and hope to see its return in the future. I have also had the opportunity to work with Art of the Olympians and the Al Oerter Foundation where Olympians and Paralympic artist work with students to encourage participation in sports and art from all corners of the world. Currently, I am working with schools from Brooklyn, NY where the students are producing art and entered into a contest culminating in a celebration at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens at the end of March 2026.
