Beginning in December, our Gallery Hours will be from Thursday to Saturday 1 - 6 pm, providing ample opportunity for art enthusiasts and the general public to immerse themselves in the vibrant local art scene. Our gallery will showcase an amazing array of artwork from talented local artists, each piece reflecting the unique culture and spirit of the Vail Valley. These artworks are not only visually captivating but are also available for purchase, allowing visitors to take a piece of the local artistry home with them. The Vail Valley Art Guild is deeply committed to enhancing lives through artistic expression by encouraging and supporting artistic development among both established and emerging artists. Our mission also focuses on increasing awareness of the visual arts within Eagle County, fostering a greater appreciation for creativity and self-expression in our community. Established in 2014, the Vail Valley Art Guild (VVAG) was founded in response to the growing need for a supportive organization that is created by visual artists and for visual artists. As a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we proudly encompass nearly 150 members, representing a wide spectrum of artistic talent and creativity. We serve the community and artists of all ages and backgrounds, promoting artistic endeavors across various mediums such as painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media. We are thrilled to announce Russell Frederickson joined the Vail Valley Art Guild in the newly formed Executive Director role. We have created the role of Executive Director to provide more focus on member and customer service, communication, opportunities, and events. Russell will be responsible for managing Gallery Night events, answering member questions, providing customer service, creating website content such as news stories and events, and promoting our activities through email, social media, and Vail Daily posts. Russell’s Background Russell is from the Great Lakes State – Michigan, growing up he enjoyed time on the water in the summer and always explored lots of northern MI winter adventures. Russell has always had a passion for multiple creative mediums… Drawing, calligraphy, photography, video production, graphic design, writing & storytelling. All those creative passions lead him to focus his studies on Television Production & Graphic Design at Ferris State University. Russell brings several years of experience in various areas of creativity within telecommunications, multimedia production, design, marketing, network television, internet, large corporate & small businesses to the Vail Valley Art Guild. Beautiful Avon Colorado is Russell’s settling point and he is enjoying all CO seasons to the extreme!
